Trans-Israel is planning a rail link between the two northern Israeli cities of Haifa and Nazareth. The 41-kilometre-long line will carry 30 million passengers per year. From a technical point of view, the railway infrastructure alings with the standards of light-rail systems. 10 of the 20 stations will be at road level. Accordingly, the entire length of the line will be equipped with slab track.
We support the contractor Shapir with our experience in slab track and railway infrastructure projects in the design of their tender bid for the track systems. Six types of track are being considered: gradients, bridges, tunnels, sections with light mass-spring systems, road crossings and stations.
