Insight into railway construction
Event for students of EBP Switzerland and RUBI Railway Technology
Time & Location
November 8, afternoon
Construction site in the Limmattal marshalling yard, Rangierbahnhof 23, 8957 Spreitenbach, Switzerland
About the event
Anything that is used a lot must be well maintained and regularly expanded. The best example of this principle is the Swiss railway network. The infrastructure operators are constantly working on their systems so that trains and passengers can continue to travel safely and arrive on time in the future. As part of this event, we will visit a construction site belonging to Sersa AG in the Limmattal marshalling yard. We will then use a simulation game in the railway operations laboratory to simulate the planning of station renovations.
We are organizing this event together with EBP Schweiz AG. Participation is free. Please wear good shoes and let us know when you register whether you have a public transport subscription.
Conditions of participation
This event is aimed at students and graduates of further training courses related to (railway) construction and operation (e.g. civil engineering, transport science, etc.). When registering, please state which training or further training course you are completing and, if possible, use your school's email address. Registrations without the relevant information will be irrevocably deleted.
